Universal LOD System PRO adds to the free version a basic editor to create grids and erase LOD Tagged groups of objects. What is happening when you run Unity.
Each LOD GameObject will look at their position relatively to the camera, and will update themselves to show the correct LOD. There is no master loop. Each LOD object acts like a robot that decides by itself what it should show to the user.

umm i dont get it what does LOD stand for???!?!?!?!?
LOD= Level Of Detail, it is a term to design variable level of detail depending on the position toward the camera to optimize the speed.
