Magma Planets

$45.00

Description

MagmaPlanets is a powerful pack of textures, halo and shaders to simulate and animate magma planets. You get 2 photorealistic exclusive shadersthat can animate the the magma, with threshold control on the brightness of what needs to be animated. These shaders have also heat emulation so that the atmosphere around is waving including the objects located behind and that can be seen through transparency. You have full control of the heat power, the waving speed and the fallout. When you get closer to the planet the heat effect amplifies, while when get further, the effect fades and stops.

There are 5 planet prefabs, one is a sun and the others are magma planets with hi-resolution maps and normal maps.

What you get?

  • 5 magma planet prefabs, one is a sun and the others are magma planets with hi-resolution maps and normal maps.
  • 2048×1024 hi-reso exclusive textures
  • 2 unique heat shader. One with transparency heat (can be use for any heat usage like flames, reactors etc…) One with automatic procedural color animation
  • noise textures for creating the wave effect of the heat and colors
  • +200 MB of compressed assets.

Using the shaders is very simple so this document will be short.

There are “Heat Distortion Colored” and “Heat Distortion Transparent”. The first one makes waving fire colors on the surface, the second one does not.

  • Strength = the size of the waving effect. The more you set, the more the wave is effect is visible.

  • Transparency = set the mix between the original image and the heat modified one.

  • Speed = set the speed of the waving heat effect.

  • Threshold = set the level of Red + Green color necessary so that the color heat animation is visible. This is made to animate only the yellow/red/white portions of the planets, the ones who are supposed to be covered with magma.

  • Fade Distance = the distance from the camera where the effect will stop. The effect will fade progressively until stopping, to avoid crazy waving planets in the distance… the effect is relative to the distance from the camera.
